Role purposeThe key purpose of the Assistant Operations Manager is to provide comprehensive support to the Operations Manager and the entire team, ensuring the seamless functioning of all operational elements within the centre. This role is pivotal in maintaining and upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, cleanliness, emergency preparedness, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Operations Manager is dedicated to fostering a professional and welcoming environment for staff, contractors, retailers, and customers. This role involves supporting the daily activities related to the centre’s presentation, including maintenance and security, while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Additionally, the Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the team in enhancing the overall customer experience through effective budget management and cost optimization. This role also ensures strict adherence to local regulations and safety standards, collaborating with various teams to achieve the centre’s operational goals and objectives.

Job Summary: The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Operations Manager to ensure the effective delivery of operational services within a specified retail precinct or centre. This includes managing communication channels, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records, and providing general assistance to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain communication channels between the Operations Manager and stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and other service providers.
• Coordinate meetings and events for the Operations Manager, including scheduling meetings, sending invitations, taking minutes, and follow-up action items.
• Manage records for the Operations Manager, including maintaining files, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Provide general assistance to the Operations Manager, such as preparing presentations, organizing travel arrangements, and managing expenses.
Qualifications:
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in administration and/or customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
