Our Why

Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.

About the Role (your why)

We are looking for the right person to drive the growth of our Digital Experience Platforms business unit. You’ll drive innovation, change and improvement across all areas. We don’t offer these roles often – it is a senior position within the Datacom hierarchy, and the General Manager, Digital Experience Platforms is given the autonomy and scope to lead their business how they best see fit, while given the support and resources they need to bring their vision to reality.

Datacom takes great pride in creating and delivering world class experiences to our customers and this role is fundamental to supporting our customers in their journey.

Our preference for this role is for it to be Sydney or Melbourne based with the team. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do

This is a senior position with responsibility for running the business, engaging customers, line management, mentoring, planning, pre-sales and executing our Digital Experience Platforms strategy.

As someone who has a passion for helping customers change and grow in the digital space, you’ll be adept at building strong relationships and driving growth comes naturally to you.

This is a challenging role, but the rewards and scope to grow further are substantial.

What you’ll bring

You'll love achieving real business results with customer experience, marketing & communications, digital experience platforms, problem solving and teamwork. You will have digital agency and/ or professional services in your background and be passionate about running a business and leading a team to success. A fundamental part of this role is being able to engage with our customers and drive revenue growth.

This is a strategic role that will take the current success of business growth in Australia and look at expanding and growing the business further. This role is all about the customer and being in front of them, so bringing your connections and network is a plus. Additionally, understanding the digital, the local agency landscape, partner and MarTech market trends is a bonus to support you in this role.

Why join us here at Datacom?

Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services. We have managed to maintain a dynamic, agile, small business feel that is often diluted in larger organisations of our size. It's our people that give Datacom its unique culture and energy that you can feel from the moment you meet with us.

We care about our people and provide a range of perks such as social events, chill-out spaces, remote working, flexi-hours and professional development courses to name a few. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop your career, connect and bring your true self to work. You will be recognised and valued for your contributions and be able to do your work in a collegial, flat-structured environment.

We operate at the forefront of technology to help Australia and New Zealand’s largest enterprise organisations explore possibilities and solve their greatest challenges, so you will never run out of interesting new challenges and opportunities.

We want Datacom to be an inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone and take pride in the steps we have taken and continue to take to make our environment fun and friendly, and our people feel supported.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region.
