A Snapshot
As the Associate Director, Finance (FP&A), you will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Finance, and work closely with the rest of the Finance team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will work closely with the Corporate Development and senior management providing key financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- You will work closely with the FP&A team and the business for the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- You will be responsible for the management of liquidity forecasting for the Group.
- You will work closely with other teams within Finance including Finance Operations, financial control, Tax and cross functionally with other leaders at AirTrunk including Treasury and corporate development, Legal, Development, Technology and Operations teams.
Your Day to Day
Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide key financial insights and analysis to support senior management in cost management and decision-making.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Commercial Focus
- Champion value-based solutions within commercial discussions.
- Working with other teams to optimise liquidity and commercial outcomes
Data and Governance
- Working with the information technology team, build a data strategy and drive the collection of data that can be used to inform decisions
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial date
Liquidity Management
- Design and develop liquidity forecasting models to predict cash flow needs and liquidity positions working closely with Treasury and FP&A teams.
- Analyse financial data to ensure the accuracy and reliability of liquidity forecasts. Identify trends and potential risks
- Conduct stress tests and scenario analyses to assess liquidity risk and provide recommendations to mitigate risks
Team Leadership and Management:
- Senior member of the commercial finance team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability and performance within the finance department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial goals.
Requirements
- Seasoned senior Finance professional with broad experience across commercial finance, Treasury or FP&A
- A big problem solver that is happy to take on any challenge, get their hands dirty and figure out a solution
- A strong understanding of business operations and commercial principles
- Exceptional communication skills, able to distil complex problems and make recommendations with ease to senior business leaders
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, motivate employees, and drive results.
- Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
