The Role

We are seeking to engage an Associate/Senior Associate Engineer – Renewables to join our Energy Team in ANZ. In this role you’ll be responsible for providing high quality design, engineering knowledge and effective project management skills to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide senior level advice and undertake key complex technical tasks with a high degree of independence across a broad range of small, medium and large projects
  • Successfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple varying size projects of varying complexity and apply business systems
  • Apply high level skills in safety in design practices and processes
  • Deliver best client outcomes which have resulted in cost savings
  • Build technical capability of others
  • Prepare complex technical reports and prepare successful proposals on small, medium and large projects
  • Utilise excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently plan workloads and meet deadlines
  • Effectively work across a variety of projects continuously learning and applying new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently
  • Effectively manage client relationships and expectations
  • Provide supervision and coaching to other staff
  • Effectively engage key stakeholders to result in superior project outcomes which meet or exceed client expectations

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent
  • CPEng, RPEQ
  • Member of Engineers Australia
  • Circa 8 – 12 years’ relevant professional experience
  • High level consulting and client management skills
  • Business planning, budgeting and commercial acumen
  • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature
  • Client service orientation
  • Proven project management skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements)
  • An understanding of the business/ organisation/ marketing context of business solutions
  • Familiar with relevant Australian Standards and specifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
