Purpose of Role

We are looking for a passionate and resilient individual to join our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a final-year university student or recent graduate seeking to establish a solid foundation in product engineering and work across multiple technology domains.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across:

  • Architecture and design
  • Software development and testing
  • Cloud engineering
  • Product support
  • Data science

You'll work alongside experienced engineers in cross-functional teams on a range of initiatives and solutions, helping us revolutionise the lending landscape.

Accountability & Outcomes

  • Work across multiple areas across the software development life cycle.
  • Participate and lead design sessions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to real-world solutions under the guidance of the team, applying engineering and security best practices.
  • Gain exposure to cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, scripting and automation.
  • Provide hands-on product support and learn about operational excellence.
  • Support project implementation and delivery initiatives.

  • Are completing (or have recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have a firm grasp of computer science fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms, systems thinking).
  • Are curious and always eager to explore new technologies and ideas.
  • Demonstrate resilience and a willingness to learn in the face of challenges and ambiguity.
  • Have a product mindset - you care about the user experience and business impact and want to build things that last.

Knowledge and Skills– Essential

What you should bring

  • A solid understanding of core computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking.
  • Exposure to at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basics of software testing.
  • An understanding of how the web works – APIs, HTTP, client-server interactions.
  • Awareness of cloud platforms and infrastructure concepts.
  • Curiosity around emerging technologies, particularly AI, and an interest in how they're changing software engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to a team that values experimentation, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to statistics and machine learning.
