About the Strategic Operations, Manager role...

The Strategic Operations team applies a broad lens (people, data, technology, and process) to solve problems and create lasting impact for SiteMinder. We combine quantitative analysis with qualitative thinking to frame problems, and develop and execute solutions with a focus on whatever will move the needle most for the business.

This role will be integral in delivering high priority strategic projects and analysis across SiteMinder. Working with senior management, this role will apply structured thinking to critical business questions, run deep analyses, generate insights and develop strategic initiatives and projects to improve operations.

What you’ll do…

  • Partnering with senior leaders and teams across the entire business to drive high priority strategic initiatives

  • Analysing business drivers and levers to identify opportunities, issues and solutions that will deliver the most value for SiteMinder

  • Designing solutions with a broad lens (people, data, technology, process), establishing buy-in and support from cross-functional teams, and then driving their implementation

  • Working across multiple projects such as pricing and packaging; profitability analysis for various customer segments, products or functions; product resource investment allocation and sequencing; support cost by channel; quantifying untapped growth opportunities or GTM models; marketing attribution by channel; and others identified from time to time.

  • Keeping current with competitors and market trends, and integrating an external perspective into SiteMinder’s strategy.

  • Developing and tracking leading indicator metrics and benchmarks, and regularly monitor and communicate trends and analyse unexpected variances.

  • Working with the Strategic Operations team and the Finance team to prepare analyses and presentations to the Board of Directors and senior management.

  • Using tools like Salesforce, Heap, Tableau, Excel, SQL, and whatever else you will need to gather and analyse data to help inform decisions.

What you have…

  • Experience and a background in strategy consulting, finance, or technology startups

  • You enjoy analysing business drivers and levers, getting deep into the data, using first principles thinking, and consistently delivering great results

  • You are a self starter with high energy and a proven ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done

  • You are a team player with a humble attitude and a hunger to make an impact in a role where the sky's the limit

  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization from the most senior to most junior

  • You are passionate about technology, data, and SaaS businesses

  • You have experience with SQL or a willingness to learn

  • Bonus: You have experience with R, Python, or other advanced analytical tools
