Meet the team:

Working in the Medical Devices Industry, you will be part of our ANZ Marketing Team, working on our Diabetes Range including the Tandem Diabetes Care t:slim X2 insulin pump and Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems. Working in this space will allow you to be a part of a range of products that have life-changing effects on people with diabetes quality of life.

This role a full-time role based out of our Macquarie Park Head office in Sydney, Australia. This role will be hybrid; working from out of the office and a remote working option.

Placed within the ANZ Marketing Team, the HCP Marketing Lead will lead the HCP Team of one Marketing Specialist and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of brand HCP (Healthcare Professional) strategy, content plan and multi-channel engagement (MCE - Multi-Channel Engagement) to grow share of HCP recommendation within our diabetes portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. The HCP Marketing Lead will own the HCP marketing arm of the marketing plan, as guided by the Marketing Manager who owns the ANZ marketing plan. As well as having one headcount, the HCP Marketing Lead will have the support of the Marketing Manager’s marketing team and events team as required.

Where you come in:

  • Key contributor to the long-term strategic growth of the ANZ brand through HCP engagement and endorsement (doctors, diabetes educators, pharmacists, KOLs, HCP Associations etc. – depending on brand strategic priorities)
  • Lead end-to-end HCP / MCE strategy development, including insights gathering and consolidation, understanding of key growth drivers of HCP recommendation, strategy development and cross-functional alignment
  • Drive HCP content creation or resource creation, evidence-based key messaging and general toolkits, and selling tools through strong collaboration with key stakeholders (Market Research, Marketing Team, Clinical Education, Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, etc.) for HCP-facing teams
    • Own and oversee all HCP resource sourcing, utilisation and stock management alongside our agency
  • Drive HCP strategy by identifying relevant HCP insights, mapping them with consumer strategy and converting into strong and differentiated marketing campaigns as guided by the Marketing Manager
  • Lead our HCP Events working closely with our Events and Clinical Education teams
  • Drive HCP marketing with the support of the marketing team, by providing professional project management support to ensure the HCP marketing plan/project are designed and executed in line with planned time, cost and quality, and guiding teams through the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control and close out phases of the project in order to achieve a successful execution of the HCP Marketing strategy
  • Engage with Marketing team and field force to keep outside in perspective, collect feedback and incorporate suggestions as appropriate, track and analyse key field engagement and HCP performance metrics
  • Track share of recommendations and performance of tactics (Engagement rate, NPS: Net Promoter Score, Email Open Rates, Registration Rate, Contact list Growth % etc)
  • Ensure the HCP marketing budget is managed with all key marketing activities and report this into the Marketing Manager as part of the full Marketing Plan
  • Optimise key HCP automation journey’s as required as part of the HCP content strategy
  • Training to sales team regarding HCP strategy, selling tools, key messages etc.
  • Alongside the Marketing team, support launch plans, ongoing surveillance of emerging technologies and competitive activities, advisory boards and focus groups as required
  • Ensure that all HCP marketing collateral is compliant and that every detail about the product is correct and meets the requirements of the company and regulatory bodies in the industry
  • HCP key metrics reporting of HCP Marketing Plan to Marketing Manager

What makes you successful:

  • Graduate degree in marketing, management or pharmacist/medical background with (preferable)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, diagnostics or diabetes
  • Experience in building HCP strategy development for OTC/healthcare brands preferable
  • Experienced marketer with a proven track record in developing marketing plans that deliver on financial objectives. Working knowledge of the Australian diabetes and healthcare markets and the ability to effectively interface with the sales team, external and internal customers.  In addition, they must possess the ability to anticipate market changes, input on product strategy and develop and implement marketing programs that drive business objectives
  • Strong analytical and customer insight skills, including confidence with both digital tools and traditional touchpoints across all channels and platforms
  • HCP marketing experience is preferred
  • Ability to interpret and translate online and offline customer behaviours into strategic activities
  • Comfort with complexity, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Ability to make new connections between data and insights, and to make these ideas understandable and actionable to others
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing including analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Datarama, Tableau etc.)
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Events, Digital, Education, Sales) to optimise quality and impact of channel plans and campaigns
  • Customer understanding e.g. HCP medical sales experience
  • Learning agility. In particular for new digital technology to optimise customer understanding and improve HCP engagement and journey
  • Self-learner
  • Customer centricity and curiosity; strong interest in the medical devices industry
  • Experience or understanding in creating designs and artwork
  • Attention to detail with accuracy and consistency
  • Effective communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
  • Ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • CRM or Marketing automation software experience, data updating, tracking (e.g. HubSpot or Marketing Cloud)
