The Opportunity
Be prepared to be challenged, and to grow professionally. Our water and wastewater process engineers are involved in the complete water, wastewater and recycled water treatment project life cycle, from investigations, planning studies, design, construction assistance, commissioning and operations support throughout Australia and the Pacific.

Due to a strong pipeline of future projects which will see you working on projects the state with metropolitan and regional clients, we are seeking the appointment of an experienced Process Engineer, with a passion for water or wastewater, to join our thriving team in Sydney. This role is available on a part-time or full-time basis.
About You
You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer (or actively working towards being chartered) and hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or closely related engineering discipline and gained a strong understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • A strong chemical and/or environmental engineering background in the municipal water / wastewater industry

  • Experience undertaking and leading investigations, options assessments and design of municipal treatment plants

  • Experience in an operational water or wastewater treatment environment, either from a role in operations, or through significant time onsite for consultancy or contractor project work

  • A broad knowledge of the industry's policies, standards, research, developments, and market trends

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally with colleagues, clients, operators, and through preparation of high-quality reports and presentations

  • A willingness to mentor and develop more junior colleagues

  • The flexibility to be both autonomous and work cohesively within a team environment

  • A client focus and a track record of being able to build and maintain long term client relationships

  • An ability to travel to meet work requirements.

This role will see you:

  • Become an integral and reliable member of our wastewater and/or water treatment technical teams

  • Undertake process reviews, investigations and designs of wastewater and/or water treatment plants

  • Develop and maintain trusted long-term relationships with our clients

  • Collaborate with our multidiscipline teams to secure, manage and deliver projects

  • Remain at the forefront of technological developments, research and industry best practice
