You will gain exposure to the most complex, high-value and significant matters in the Australian market, also frequently working on international disputes.

At Allens, our Projects Disputes team is a truly national team, meaning you will have exposure to a number of different Partners and lawyers within your practice group across offices. You will be involved in a wide variety of premier work across different clients and sectors. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field.

Your role within our team will include advising clients on:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to be based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work, however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

About you

You will have:

  • Experience in construction and project disputes, litigation and claim resolution within a law firm

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team on large matters (both internally within Allens, and externally with our clients' teams), and manage aspects of matters where required. We value teamwork, good humour and kindness, and are looking for co-workers who share our values.

  • A willingness to participate in business development activities, such as pitch documents, firm-wide pursuits, article writing, attending industry events and hosting seminars.

  • A desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others (dependent on your level).
