Automation & Digital Programme Manager

The GCP Automation & Digital Programme Manager will manage the delivery of Automation and Digital applications across Biologics & Devices, Primary & Small Molecules, R&D and Vaccines Manufacturing Groups from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through to execution. Manage the allocation of resources, prioritise projects based on strategic objectives and monitor performance. Develop and maintain Project Management Framework tools and procedures associated with Automation & Digital.

In this role you will:
- Execute FEED studies to define the required scope, cost, schedule and risk profile associated with new Smart Manufacturing technology deployment on strategic projects.
- Lead multi-function teams across GSC to effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of approved projects, ensuring on time, cost and right first time.
- Manage, monitor and report progress of projects and associated business benefits.
- Establish, manage, monitor and report project relevant roadmaps with milestones and KPI`s.
- Manage capital and resource allocations for projects during FEED & execution phases.
- Collaborate with Central Engineering and Tech subject matter experts to keep aligned with evolving Smart Manufacturing standards and ensure they are implemented effectively during project execution.

Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- HNC/Degree in Engineering, IT or Project Management.
- Experience and knowledge of at least one of the following systems:
- Automation – e.g. DCS, PLC/SCADA, Instrumentation, Robotics, Process/Machinery Safety
- MES – e.g. eBRS, Weigh & Dispense, Historian.
- Laboratory Systems – e.g. LES, LIFT.
- Technology Infrastructure – e.g. IT/OT, firewalls, networking, hosting.
- Extensive experience in design & delivery of technology within API, Biopharm or Secondary manufacturing.
- Direct experience of delivering complex automation and/or Tech projects.
- Direct experience of leading technology teams in global and diverse cultures.
- Strong stakeholder management and effective communicator.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Good understanding of project controls.
- Good understanding of Computer System Validation.
- Good understanding of the capital project lifecycle from Design to Operation.
