So, what’s the role all about? 

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for executing software quality control strategies, overseeing comprehensive testing, and ensuring high-quality products. This involves designing effective tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to achieve reliable solutions and meet user needs.   

How will you make an impact?    

  • Defining and implementing quality control strategies to ensure software quality throughout the development life cycle 
  • Planning, designing and executing functional, performance and security tests to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards 
  • Developing, maintaining and executing automated test suites, including functional, regression, and performance tests 
  • Conducting manual testing when necessary, identifying defects and ensuring thorough test coverage 
  • Identifying and documenting defects, collaborating with teams to resolve them, and ensure continuous improvement of the product 
  • Participating in design and code reviews, advocating for best practices in quality assurance 
  • Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies, contributing to process enhancement initiatives  

 

Have you got what it takes?  

  • Preferably Associate of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience 
  • 3 – 6 years of experience in software development 
  • Proven track record of designing and executing test strategies for complex software projects 
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, Cypress) 
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing levels (unit, integration regression, etc.) 
  • Experiences with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail  

You will have an advantage if you also have: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams  
  • Skill in collaborating with development teams, designers, and other departments to ensure tests align with business objectives
