BDA are seeking an experienced Avionics & Armament Engineering Manager who is ready to make an impact on a world-class maritime surveillance and response platform?
The Avionics & Armament Engineering Manager is a core member of the RAAF P-8 Program Engineering Leadership team and reports to the RAAF P-8 Engineering Services Manager, who is responsive to the Program Manager of the RAAF P-8 Contract for the delivery of engineering personnel, products and services required by RAAF P-8 program & associated organic growth opportunities.
This role requires effective internal and customer communications skills and the ability to recruit, retain, engage and task the Avionics and Armament engineering workforce required by the RAAF P-8 Contract. As such, this role requires the ability to work closely with both Boeing, Supplier and customer program and technical leaders within the RAAF P-8 program, which is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia.

What you'll be doing
- Lead planning and delivery of Avionics and Armament services required to meet RAAF P-8 Enterprise objectives,
- Balance priorities across the total RAAF P-8 Business and broader BDA Engineering community,
- Monitor and report team performance (people, processes & tools) required to meet both short- and long-range RAAF P-8 Support Business plans,
- Consistently record and report key Engineering performance metrics as set by the Customer, PM and RAAF P-8 Engineering Manager.
- Ensure timely resourcing, investigation and decision making associated with key technical issue resolution and project help needed.
- Be responsive to the RAAF P-8 Chief Engineer for ensuring the safety and quality of Engineering Products & Services provided in support of RAAF P-8 contract.
Who we're looking for
- Have experience leading the successful engineering execution of large or complex projects.
- Must hold an Engineering or Technical Degree meeting the chartered requirements of Engineers Australia.
