Responsibilities
As an Avionics Technical Officer / Avionics Engineer, you will:
- Work in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team environment to support the initial airworthiness requirements of the HATS EC-135 helicopter fleet;
- Develop and review engineering design changes and technical data updates;
- Manage configuration and change control for engineering change proposals;
- Support type investigation, classification, and certification activities;
- Develop and review certification plans, certification basis, and compliance demonstrations;
- Develop and review repair designs, including non-standard and unrepaired damage assessments;
- Manage design assurance processes, including engineering approvals and product configuration records;
- Identify and manage specific equipment requirements;
- Support testing, verification, and airworthiness compliance demonstrations; and
- Prepare and review documentation for non-standard operations, including military permits to fly and flight restrictions.
Experience/Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualifications in Avionics or Electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience in an Avionics discipline (e.g. Cert IV in Aviation);
- Experience in an aviation design and/or certification environment;
- Australian citizenship, to meet Defence security and trade controls requirements;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
