We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong DevOps experience to join our team and contribute to a couple of exciting new projects. This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong view to extend based on project outcomes and team fit.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing robust backend services using JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Building and deploying serverless and containerized applications on AWS
  • Implementing event streaming architectures and real-time data flows
  • Managing infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Collaborating on DevOps practices to streamline CI/CD and cloud operations

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5 years backend development experience
  • Experience in DevOps engineering (Terraform is preferred)
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/ Typescript
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (primarily serverless and container-based architectures)
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, databases, and auth
  • Proficiency in API design, management, and best practices
  • A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to enabling team success
