You will join our expanding Business Architecture, Process and Continuous Improvement (BAPCI) team, with a focus of increasing maturity of Rest’s business processes landscape. The team’s vision is to shape Rest’s success through organisational agility and operational efficiency.
This role will focus on designing, configuring, and maintaining all facets of a strategic and dynamic Business Process Management (BPM) system. This will help set up a great foundation for Rest’s BPM capability which aims to improve step change in the maturity of our business operations and service delivery in line with Rest’s strategic objectives and evolving business environment.
The BPM Tool Specialist responsibilities include:
- BPM System Configuration & Administration: Build, configure, administer and update process management artefacts within the BPM system such as process architecture, process standards, process attributes, user interfaces, datasets, and workflows. Assist in integrating with existing systems and databases, enabling seamless data integrity, exchange, and accessibility.
- BPM System Requirements: Continuously manage, prioritise and align BPM system components to business requirements and the BPM system lifecycle.
- Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide ongoing support to users, addressing any technical or usage-related questions.
- Reporting & Analytics: Create and share BPM system reports with Business Owners to provide insights and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement or process re-design.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, experts, vendors, and technical teams to align system design with business requirements for a fit-for-purpose BPM solution. Promote the BPM system and its usage in BPM.
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional certification, e.g., IIBA (Business Analyst), BPM, Process Mapping (BPMN/ DMN) or similar industry standard highly advantageous
- Prior BPM system certifications highly advantageous
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Proven experience in administering, configuring, maintaining, and using BPM systems, focusing on their daily operations and long-term objectives.
- Strong knowledge of BPM frameworks and how they translate into system design.
- Ability to understand end‑to‑end business processes, including key dependencies.
- Experience with BPMN, data flow diagrams and/or SIPOC; process mining, customer journey mapping or EA mapping is a bonus.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and enhance system capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and issue‑management skills.
- Understanding of business and process architecture and its impact on operations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
