About the Team

DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about, helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses. The Growth Marketing team is responsible for deploying our customer acquisition budget (CAC) across all marketing channels, with a focus on customer growth, working in collaboration with the brand and partnerships team, as well as an award-winning agency village to achieve success.

About the Role

DoorDash is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Marketing Manager to lead our Brand Media efforts across the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager for Growth and working in close partnership with the Senior Marketing Director (ANZ), you will serve as the primary decision-maker for our brand media strategy and execution.

In this pivotal, cross-functional role, you will be responsible for a sizable media budget, ensuring our challenger brand achieves high-impact visibility and gains market share through an effective and efficient media plan. You will operate within an agile, high-growth environment, collaborating closely with our integrated marketing team and media buying agencies to develop best-in-class, innovative campaigns. This position is ideal for an ambitious, hands-on marketer who thrives on autonomy, data-driven risk-taking, and delivering high-visibility results.

We’re excited about you because you have…
  • Deep Industry Expertise: A proven track record of managing substantial media budgets with a sophisticated understanding of the Australian (and ideally New Zealand) media landscape.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Comfortable reporting to the wider business on media effectiveness, metrics and its contribution to the delivery of the customer order volume goals.
  • Media Strategy & Execution: A clear, defensible point of view on what defines excellence in media buying across channels like Out-of-Home (OOH), digital, screens, audio, amongst others
  • Proven Autonomy: Experience operating as an individual contributor or within small, high-performing teams, where you have held accountability for the end-to-end media lifecycle.
  • Agency Management: Extensive experience partnering with media buying agencies to produce best-in-class work under tight timelines.
  • Strategic Agility: A demonstrated ability to cut through complex global frameworks to implement local-first strategies that align with business objectives. Experience in building forecasts and business cases using data and insights
  • Innovative Mindset: A track record of "test-and-learn" initiatives, successfully identifying and leveraging new or innovative media opportunities to drive growth.
  • Cross-Functional Fluency: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and collaborate seamlessly across integrated marketing teams.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will have…
  • Ownership & Impact: The authority to serve as the key decision-maker for our ANZ brand media strategy, with the budget and freedom to take calculated risks that define our market presence.
  • High-Growth Ambition: A direct role in scaling a challenger brand during a transformative time for our marketing team, with clear responsibility and support from leadership.
  • Strategic Visibility: The opportunity to build a reputation in the industry by leading campaigns that are recognised for their impact and creative excellence.
  • Career Acceleration: A role within a global technology company that values career growth, internal mobility, and a culture of ownership.
