Business Analyst – Customer Program Management Team 

  • We’re on the lookout for a Business Analyst who’s more than just a requirements gatherer — someone who’s proactive, curious, and not afraid to get their hands dirty to make things happen. 

  • Our business analysts work across a varied project portfolio from large scale transitions and regulatory projects to customer centric and strategic partnership focused projects.  

  • We offer a flexible hybrid model based out of our Martin Place, Sydney CBD office — typically 3 days in-office and 2 days from home. 

  • This role is available for a period of 9 Months  

 

About the role 

At Challenger, our Customer Program Management Office is driving a broad range of initiatives — from regulatory change and large-scale transitions through to product launches and customer-focused improvements. You’ll play a key role in making sure ideas turn into outcomes, working side by side with an experience Project team on o important programs of work. 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll move between detail and big picture, keeping projects moving forward and helping stakeholders cut through the noise. You’ll engage with colleagues across product, marketing, risk, technology, and customer divisions, plus work closely with our offshore technology partner to deliver practical results. 

Some of the things you’ll be doing: 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements. 

  • Facilitating workshops that bring together people from different corners of the business — product, tech, risk, marketing — and turning discussion into action. 

  • Supporting project managers across a varied portfolio, from product launches, privacy updates, to system integrations. 

  • Work collaboratively with our offshore technology partner to support delivery and business outcomes  

  • Analysing data to spot trends and gaps, mapping processes, and suggesting improvements. 

  • Producing clear, no-nonsense documentation that’s kept current and easy to use. 

  • Rolling up your sleeves to help wherever needed to make sure delivery stays on track. 

About you 

You’re a self-starter with proven Business Analyst experience in financial services or another complex corporate environment. You thrive in fast-paced settings where you can use your initiative, keep people aligned, and get things done. 

You’ll have strong experience in business requirement gathering, and able to use various techniques to ensure a comprehensive understanding of what the business needs.   

  • Experienced in running & facilitating workshops, extracting business needs and engaging a diverse set of stakeholders. 

  • Practical problem-solver who can handle complexity without losing sight of the end goal. 

  • Comfortable juggling priorities and adapting as projects evolve. 

  • Proficient with BA and project tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project. 

  • Exposure to regulatory, technology or privacy projects would be a bonus.
