Key purpose of the role This role will be responsible for the analysis and documentation of business and system requirements for ASX Enterprise Business Resilience initiatives and projects. Assessing new concepts against current systems and procedures, analyse stakeholder needs from and end-to-end perspective, engage internal and external clients through various facilitation techniques and mediums and provide high-quality, fit for purpose business analysis artefacts.

Your responsibilities

  • You are a practitioner/team member of the Business Analyst Capability Community of Practice (CoP).
  • Engagement with internal stakeholders to elicit business- system- and operational requirements.
  • Strong collaboration with project assigned subject matter experts for articulation and definition of business processes and requirements.
  • Elicitation, preparation and generation of business requirements (including functional and non-functional) in the form of epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Preparation of business impact analysis documentation and workshop facilitation with each impacted business unit.
  • Analysis of current state processes and mapping of future state processes and associated models 
  • Review and contribution to testing artefacts and approach.
  • Liaise with vendors and development teams on project progress, problem resolution and solution design.
  • Consultation with operational business units regarding deployment of system change, system functionality, system configuration and 
  • associated processes.
  • Produce high quality business analysis deliverables using relevant techniques and tools in line with the ASX delivery framework.
  • Being an active member of the BA Community of Practice (CoP)

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • Demonstrated 3+ years of Business Analysis experience and/or experience working in an analytical role.
  • Experience working on small/ medium a project across the full SDLC from early ideation to execution and embedment in BAU
  • Sound understanding of the business analysis fundamentals.
  • Effective communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Can collaborate with stakeholders across seniority levels.
  • Demonstrable use of business process modelling and system design languages such as BPMN and UML.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to look at big picture and at the same time, dive into the details.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, welcomes change and is adaptable within a very dynamic environment.

Nice to have

  • Business Analysis Certification, eg. IIBA CCBA
  • Financial services background with knowledge gained through industry experience.
  • Be comfortable working within a matrix structure.
  • Worked on Agile, Lean and Waterfall projects.
  • Experience working within Product teams.
  • Experience working with Change Management and influencing user behaviour.
  • Experience using MS Visio, Lucid Charts, Enterprise Architect, or other process modelling solution
  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence)
