About the team:

ASX is looking for an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys collaborating with others, is passionate about delivery, with a can-do attitude and continuous improvement mindset. The role will focus on documenting the business, system and operational requirements in order to decommission existing legacy applications. Working closely with Finance and Business colleagues, this role is integral to deliver on Finance’s transformation strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Engage with stakeholders to develop and document an understanding of business, system and/or operational requirements for decommissioning of Oracle Essbase and EPM. Including functional requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Work closely with project teams, business SME’s, application/IT support teams to facilitate clear definition of requirements, operational changes management needs, data mapping and data lineage etc.

  • Support and work with third party suppliers as needed (implementation support partners, SaaS providers, etc)

  • Foster collaboration across business lines, between Business Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, Designers, Development group and Testers by removing roadblocks and enabling them to have open conversations.

What you will bring:

Must have:

  • Tertiary education or other relevant industry certification

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst

  • Proven and extensive experience on specialised and complex business technology projects in a Finance context

  • Successfully developed business solutions across teams in a hybrid / agile environment and across multiple key vendors and multiple business groups

  • Proven facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills that show you are able to collaborate and build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and vendors across all levels

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with both individuals and executive level steering groups

  • Excellent team player

  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Agile, Confluence)

  • Ability to take ownership of issues and drive them through to closure

  • Be comfortable working within a matrix structure

Nice to have

  • Financial services background with knowledge of capital markets

  • Workday experience

  • Oracle experience (Essbase, EPM)
