Permanent opportunity to join us as a Business Analyst  

  • We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Customer Program Management Team and help drive project initiatives that elevate customer experiences. 

  • Our business analysts work across a varied project portfolio from large scale transitions and regulatory projects to customer centric and ESG focused projects. 

  • At Challenger we work flexibly, and you can expect to work in the office 3 days per week, and 2 days from home. 

About the role 

As a Business Analyst you’ll be working in our Customer Program Management office, supporting our project managers / project leads across a broad project landscape.    You will work closely with stakeholders from product, marketing, risk, technology and our customer division to gather requirements, define business   You’ll identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and assess other business impacts.  

You are someone who takes a proactive self-driven approach to problem-solving and requirements analysis and some of your responsibilities will include (but aren't limited to)   

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements.  

  • Facilitate workshops and work with key business stakeholders including product team, technical support, risk and marketing. 

  • Work collaboratively with our offshore technology partner to support delivery and business outcomes 

  • Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.  Conduct Gap Analysis. 

  • Process Mapping: Document and analyse current business processes using techniques such as process mapping and workflow diagrams. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. 

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, easy to understand documentation, including requirements documents. Ensure that documentation is kept up-to-date and easily accessible. 

  • Project Management Support: Assist in diverse projects within the Customer, Fidante, Funds Management & Risk portfolio.  This may include new product setup, marketing launches, and system integrations. 

Skills & Experience Required 

You’ll have proven experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate, financial services environmentIt would be highly desirable to have experience working across regulatory and/or technology projects.   

You’ll have strong experience in business requirement gathering, and able to use various techniques to ensure a comprehensive understanding of what the business needs.  

An analytical problem solver you are capable of navigating and owning complex issues while maintaining a focus on the overall objectives. 

As well as 

  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools and methodologies. 

  • Proven experience working effectively with diverse stakeholders with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.  

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to run workshops, extract business needs, and translate them into IT requirements. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Confluence, JIRA) and familiar with governance and regulatory environments.
