The Role:
Our Project & Development Services (PDS) business line has a key role in managing the National Program Service (NPS) Package for the Defence Estate Works Program (EWP). The Business Analyst role will support the business transformation by proactively using data in all aspects of our decision making. The role will also serve as a key resource in facilitating data exchange between external contractors, JLL and Clients by leveraging JLL’s data infrastructure, working with both Project data and Workflow data to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the integration process.

Duties include but not limited to
- Project Data Management - Download and consolidation of data files from client systems, data validation, analysis and error handling, data aggregation, extraction and uploading
- Workflow Administration - Administer data validation, undertake compliance and accuracy checks, cross-reference structured data with unstructured documents, provide ongoing support to external contractors associated with validation issues, and monitor error handling mechanisms and address data quality issues
- Understand and document the business need and ensure in the context of building BI solutions.
- Identify and implement data acquisition programs as part of the data discovery process.
- Facilitate the design and development of the most appropriate model to meet and exceed the requirement.
- Build visualisations that tell a compelling story and turn data into actionable insights.
- Understand the current state BI landscape. Define and facilitate a future state that brings innovation and fresh thinking while addressing the current and future needs of the business for our people who will deliver the best outcomes for our clients within the APAC region
- Create inspiration around the power of technology and data within the PDS business.
- Support broader tech services/Data Science team and collaborate effectively with an integrated team of tech-focused resources.
- Connect with the wider JLL community on technology and innovation to align and share ideas
- Be well-versed in the latest BI trends to ensure that JLL remains at the forefront of the industry by continually innovating and improving.
- Collaborate with the Director of Data Science to build end-to-end products for client requirements, including ETL protocols, statistical modelling, and visualisation.
What you will bring:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in either Business, Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline in Science or Social Science (preferred). An Advanced degree in Information Science, Computer Science or analytics is preferred.
- Business model knowledge and ability to scope a business problem and quantify it numerically.
- Understanding of Data Wrangling: Data Discovery, Acquisition & Transformation process and the specific use of tools to support Self Service data preparation and data governance.
- Basic capability in BI visualisation using Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic knowledge of standard analytical, reporting and programming languages and their applications (such as SQL, R, SSRS, and Python).
- Understanding data and systems engineering concepts to effectively integrate and analyse data to develop actionable business information deliverables.
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
- Ability to clean data and structure according to a required schema.
- Basic understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Basic understanding Big Data statistical modelling techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, classification, model selection, and natural language processing.
- Capability to self-learn new software applications and programming languages.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with business and technical teams.
