Overview

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Associate to join our team. As the Business Development Associate, you will report directly to the Head of Distribution and play a crucial role in driving exceptional sales results for ISS STOXX/Rainmaker. Our suite of products caters to the investment management, financial planning, superannuation, and service provider segments within the financial services industry.

 

In this role, you can showcase your strategic thinking and creativity by designing integrated, holistic solutions for our clients. By leveraging the comprehensive offerings of ISS STOXX/Rainmaker and Financial Standard, which includes events and subscription services, you will develop customized solutions that address the unique needs of our clients.

 

Managing a diverse portfolio of accounts across various industry segments, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding ongoing service to our clients. Your exceptional relationship management skills will be instrumental in exploring and maximizing ISS STOXX/Rainmaker's commercial potential with each account.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales and revenue targets through a proactive sales effort, by building relationships and a utilizing a solutions-based sales approach.

  • Develop and manage relationships with assigned accounts, prospect new opportunities within Rainmaker’s target market segments, and deliver high quality service to each and every client.

  • Develop ongoing solutions for clients by uncovering their challenges, identifying sales opportunities and showcasing the benefits of Rainmaker’s suite of products and services.

  • Utilize sales pipeline tool to record, execute, and report on sales activities and the available opportunity set, and keep up-to-date at all times.

  • Attend recurring and internal meetings as set by the business and Head of Sales on time and undertaking required preparation.

  • Make a proactive and positive contribution to sales strategy, business planning and team meetings.

  • Input ideas for ongoing development and improvement of ISS/Rainmaker’s existing products and participate in product innovation.

  • Attend conferences and travel for sales meetings and events as required.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Business or a related discipline

  • With at least 2 years of experience in sales and business development preferably from Wealth Management/ Financial Services industry or related industry.

  • Understanding of wealth management, superannuation, life insurance and management investments preferred but not essential.

  • Should be results focused and have entrepreneurial approach to sales. With highly developed communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Enthusiastic, autonomous and self-motivated.

  • Willingness to learn and develop.

  • Team based approach to success.

  • Well organized and able to prioritize time and resources.
