The MSE segment represents Gartner’s strategic client accounts, spanning the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. LE focuses on organizations with annual revenues typically up to $1 billion, including industry leaders and global brands. As part of this high-impact sales organization, you will engage with C-level executives and senior decision-makers, delivering insight and value to help them achieve their most critical business priorities.

Understanding the Work Environment & Standards Across MSE:

Gartner LE operates in a dynamic hybrid work environment, combining both virtual and in-office collaboration. In-person experiences—such as strategic 1:1s with your manager, executive team meetings, and leadership development sessions—are integral to building strong relationships, sharing best practices, and driving collective growth. Regular engagement at Gartner’s offices fosters cross-functional collaboration and supports ongoing professional development.

As a Business Development Director , you will engage directly with C-level executives and senior leaders.

What You Will Do:

  • Build trust-based, value-driven relationships with C-level and executive prospects to uncover their mission-critical priorities and demonstrate how Gartner’s solutions support their success.

  • Lead consultative conversations and presentations with executive stakeholders to qualify opportunities, showcase Gartner’s capabilities, and close new business.

  • Collaborate with internal partners across Gartner to deliver impactful client experiences, including executive briefings, solution walkthroughs, and proof of concepts.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, consistently delivering against sales metrics and KPIs.

  • Achieve and exceed assigned annual sales quotas for your portfolio of large enterprise accounts.

  • Own the full sales cycle from strategic prospecting through to contract negotiation and close.

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of end-to-end B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in complex, enterprise-level environments—ideally within the IT or professional services sector.

  • Demonstrated intellect, business acumen, executive presence, and advanced sales expertise.

  • Extensive experience selling to and influencing C-level executives and senior decision-makers within large organizations.

  • Competitive drive with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. You set ambitious goals, consistently achieve them, and inspire those around you to excel.

  • Proven ability to manage and forecast complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes with precision.

  • Willingness to live within a commutable distance to the required office location.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
