Job Title: Business Development Executive – Asian Market

Team: Client Solutions

Reporting to: Principal Business Development

Location: Sydney

Role Profile:

Our Sydney studio is looking to add a Business Development Executive to our growing team. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a vital role in expanding Unispace's market reach and driving our sales pipeline, with a particular focus on engaging with potential clients in the Asian markets. You will be instrumental in initiating crucial conversations, booking appointments, and ultimately contributing directly to Unispace's continued growth and success in delivering inspiring workplaces.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Proactively engage with leads generated by our research team, primarily through strategic cold calling, to initiate contact and qualify potential client interest.
  • Appointment Setting: Successfully book initial appointments and meetings for our senior sales team, ensuring a consistent and high-quality pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Pipeline Development: Actively contribute to the development and growth of a robust sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities and nurturing initial client interest.
  • Market Intelligence: Deliver key insights through networking, outreach, and research, gathering industry intelligence relevant to potential client needs and market trends.
  • Relationship Building: Develop multi-discipline relationships across the market to cultivate future sales opportunities.
  • Lead Management: Undertake lead source analysis and actively manage leads to optimise conversion rates.
  • Client Strategy Input: Support the mapping and manage client strategies and relationships within key focus areas.
  • Innovative Attraction: Utilise fresh and innovative approaches to attract target clients.
  • Data-Driven Support: Support business planning through data analysis and contribute to conversion strategies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across disciplines, regions, and within studios to identify opportunities and drive continual improvement in client engagement.
  • Sales Conversion: Contribute to and deploy strategies designed to achieve a high sales conversion rate with target clients.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all client engagement initiatives align seamlessly with the Unispace brand and values.

About You:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within business development, sales, or lead generation in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully conducting cold outreach (cold calling, email) to generate leads and book appointments.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly and concisely.
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and resilient, with a proactive approach to sales.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a pipeline effectively.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle and key performance indicators in a business development context.
  • Experience in the commercial real estate, design & build, or professional services sectors is a strong advantage.
