We’re looking for a dynamic and commercially minded business development professional to join ASX’s Markets Division, based in Sydney with a strong focus on Singapore, Hong Kong and the wider Asian region.
Your mission? Drive customer activity, elevate our regional presence, and unlock new revenue opportunities across ASX’s suite of multi-asset class products and services.
This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, understands the intricacies of Asian financial markets, and has a strong track record in selling across asset classes— interest rates, equities, commodities; and financial instruments including futures, options, cash equities, connectivity and data products.
What You’ll Do:

Lead with insight—develop a deep understanding of client workflows and market needs to position ASX as a solutions partner, not just a platform.
Develop and execute a clear sales strategy to drive uptake of ASX’s multi-asset offerings across trading, clearing, connectivity and data.
Champion ASX innovation by promoting new products and initiatives to both existing and prospective clients.
Identify and convert new trading and clearing participants, as well as end-users across the region.
Collaborate cross-functionally within ASX to bring the right mix of product, marketing, and strategic support to your client conversations.
Engage with purpose—build multiple touch points within client organisations and influence decision-makers.
Stay ahead of the curve on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to keep our offering relevant and competitive.
Represent ASX at targeted events, sponsorships, and client engagements across the Asian region.
Key Success Metrics:
Revenue and trading volume growth from new and existing customers in Asia
Expansion of ASX’s footprint across proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, and institutional investors in Singapore, Hong Kong and beyond
A robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities across asset classes
Accurate and timely reporting of sales activity in Salesforce
Contribution to ASX’s regional and global strategy through feedback, insights, and execution
What You Bring:
A strong track record in multi-asset class sales, ideally covering Asia-based clients
Proven success in business development and account management within the financial markets
Deep knowledge of futures, derivatives, equities, and clearing services
Experience working with proprietary trading groups, hedge funds, clearers, ISVs, and institutional investors
Understanding of Asian financial market dynamics, with a network in Singapore and Hong Kong considered a strong advantage
Proficiency with Salesforce and CRM-led sales processes
What Sets You Apart:
Established relationships with key decision-makers in the Asian trading ecosystem
Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify white-space opportunities
High commercial acumen with a passion for connecting client needs to market solutions
Ability to work autonomously in a Sydney-based role while building strong links across Asia
Strong communication skills and executive-level presence
If you’re ready to help shape ASX’s growth story across Asia from our Sydney hub, and thrive in a role that blends strategy, relationships, and deal-making, we’d love to hear from you.
