Job Summary

Madre Group is seeking a proactive, commercially driven, and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager / Business Development Officer to support the growth and market expansion of Madre Janus in Australia.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, promoting cybersecurity solutions and managed services, and contributing to revenue growth across the Australian market. This role requires a professional who can confidently engage with prospective clients, understand their business and security needs, and position relevant solutions accordingly.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in business development or sales within the technology, cybersecurity, managed services, or related sectors, along with exposure to Fortinet products and solutions. Candidates with Fortinet Sales certification and/or Fortinet NSE certification will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives for Madre Janus across the Australian market.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue generation and long-term market growth.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through direct outreach, networking, referrals, market mapping, and strategic relationship development.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, decision-makers, and key stakeholders across target industries.
  • Promote and position Madre Janus’ cybersecurity solutions, managed services, and technology offerings in line with customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Engage clients in discussions around Fortinet products and solutions, including their value proposition, business relevance, and application to cybersecurity needs.
  • Work closely with internal technical, delivery, and leadership teams to align client requirements with service capability and solution design.
  • Arrange and participate in client meetings, business presentations, and commercial discussions to introduce company capabilities and build opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, capability documents, presentations, and commercial submissions in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, customer expectations, and emerging opportunities within the Australian market.
  • Support commercial negotiations, proposal follow-ups, and onboarding coordination for new clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, pipeline movement, and sales activity through CRM systems or internal reporting tools.
  • Represent Madre Group and Madre Janus professionally at client meetings, networking events, industry engagements, and business forums.
  • Contribute to the broader market-entry and growth strategy for Madre Janus in Australia.
  • Achieve assigned sales, pipeline, and conversion targets in line with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, account management, or commercial relationship management.
  • Strong experience in B2B business development and opportunity generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, engage prospects, and support conversion of opportunities into business outcomes.
  • Good understanding of technology solutions, cybersecurity services, managed services, or solution-based selling.
  • Experience dealing with Fortinet products and solutions and the ability to support client discussions around cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound commercial awareness and ability to understand both customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, reporting discipline, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professional maturity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, MSSP, IT services, SaaS, cloud solutions, or managed services environments.
  • Exposure to the Australian business landscape and understanding of local market practices.
  • Existing network of industry contacts or business relationships in Australia would be beneficial.
  • Experience in selling or positioning cybersecurity solutions, service-based offerings, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet architecture, cybersecurity offerings, and managed security use cases will be a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as firewalls, endpoint security, secure remote access, SOC services, threat monitoring, and security operations.
  • Fortinet Sales certification and/or Fortinet NSE certification will be considered an added advantage.
