Job Description

NCS Australia is seeking a proven hunter with a passion for data, AI, and next-generation cloud solutions. As our Business Development Manager – Databricks, you will lead our go-to-market efforts and accelerate growth in the Australian market.

This role is focused on winning new business and securing net-new logos while also expanding existing client relationships. You’ll work directly with customers as the lead sales resource and collaborate with our core sales team as a Databricks specialist, managing the full sales lifecycle from planning and prospecting through to deal closure.

Success means acting as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term partnerships, and shaping growth strategies in collaboration with NCS Group, Databricks, and our partner ecosystem. You’ll balance hunting new opportunities with farming existing accounts, ensuring clients get maximum value from our solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development and sales within a systems integrator, ISV, or technology consultancy.

  • Strong background in Data Analytics or Data Platforms (Databricks or Snowflake preferred).

  • Well-established network across Australian enterprise, government, and technology partners.

  • Skilled in new business acquisition, from lead generation and prospecting through to deal closure.

  • Ability to understand client challenges and translate them into high-value solutions.

  • Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset, with resilience under pressure.

  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a client-first approach.

  • Confident in presentations, workshops, and coaching to drive engagement.

  • Strategic thinker with adaptability to navigate complex and changing environments.
