Job Description

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager – MICE to drive conference and event sales, build lasting client relationships, and deliver unforgettable experiences. This role is perfect for a proactive, results-driven sales professional who thrives on networking, strategic planning, and hands-on event coordination.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for growing our conference and events business by identifying new opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and ensuring seamless execution of events. You’ll work closely with our commercial, food & beverage, and operations teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for conferences, meetings, and events.
  • Proactively source new business through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
  • Conduct site inspections and FAM tours to showcase our facilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare tailored proposals, and close sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences from planning to execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay competitive.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in hospitality, MICE, or events.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Results-focused with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • A self-starter with a proactive, positive approach.
