The Role  - Topdeck BDM
We need someone versatile - someone who is self-motivated and can keep the focus where it’s required, while embodying the spirit of Topdeck
Topdeck is our youth travel brand, designed for 18-32 year olds looking to experience the world in a more connected, social way. We specialise in small group trips that are packed with more of what matters! We travel across Europe and beyond, combining iconic destinations with local, authentic experiences. With no hidden extras, more inclusions, and a relaxed pace that allows our travellers to truly immerse themselves, Topdeck is all about creating unforgettable moments and lifelong connections.
You’ll be responsible for driving sales revenue with existing trade partners through a targeted approach. You must be personable, agile, and able to work autonomously, and be capable of being an enthusiastic champion for the brand, forming meaningful relationships and delivering impact across the board.
This role operates within a the defined region of NSW, and also contributes to national activity providing some virtual support to agents across the wider network to drive overall performance along with occasional out of state travel.
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Managing trade relationships within the territory through regional and store level engagement and tactical sales activity delivery.         
  • Building and nurturing travel agent and store partnerships with the ability to prioritise agencies identified as having the best growth potential for the brand.
  • Develop and implement sales plans using a customised and targeted approach to address their specific needs in the territory.
  • Responsible for delivering revenue targets for the brand in your region and increasing trade sales year on year with aggressive annual growth
  • Develop and deliver regional sales plan for Topdeck in alignment with Sales and Brand strategies set by Director of Sales and Brand Leadership Team
  • Developing and providing training sessions for agency partners and stores to enhance their knowledge of Topdeck, ensuring agents have thorough understand of both the brand and product specifics.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities; record trainings, appointments, tasks, customer feedback and other sales activities, with regular reporting on progress.
  • Manage regional BDM Budget in the most cost-effective, in alignment with agreed sales plans and adhering to established policies.
  • Represent Topdeck at events in this region with potential to support and represent at national events or engagements.
  • Feeding back intel from the region into the Topdeck team to aid future planning

Experience, Requirements and Key Behaviours
 
  • 3+ years of experience within the travel industry
  • Experience in sales
  • Strong positive attitude with the ability to demonstrating commerciality, curiosity and creative thinking.
  • Excellent relationship & time management skills
  • Confident and articulate presenter and public speaker
  • Good working knowledge of Office365
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or similar)
  • Self-starter with an existing travel industry network
  • Firsthand destination knowledge gained through travelling throughout the UK, Europe a must, with North America and Asia desirable.

Expectations of the role
  • Provide your own vehicle, which you will be compensated for.
  • Work outside of normal business hours as required to represent Topdeck at travel expos, conduct breakfast seminars, agent group or famil hosting, or as required to attend any other reasonable promotional event.
  • Attendance on occasional evening meetings for all-staff meetings and brand team meetings.
  • Travel long distances, occasional interstate, and international travel, and occasionally work away from home as required
