Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Business Development Manager – Weddings & Social Events to lead the growth of our event business at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat. This is your chance to combine sales leadership with hands-on event delivery in one of Australia’s most picturesque destinations.

About the Role:

As the BDM, you’ll take ownership of our weddings and social events portfolio from sales strategy through to event execution. You’ll build strong client relationships, lead premium events on-site, and position our resort as the Hunter Valley’s premier destination for celebrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in weddings and social events
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners
  • Represent the resort at bridal expos and industry events
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of high-end weddings and social functions
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure exceptional event experiences
  • Identify opportunities for growth at Elysia Wellness Retreat

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years’ experience in wedding or event sales and management
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings for events
