Where the Financial Services Group fits in

We aspire to make it easy to connect property and finance with our goal to be the #1 destination to find and finance property. We want to be the trusted destination to easily find and finance property for those using realestate.com.au for their property search.

The financial services team is accountable for strategy development and execution, working with our banking and mortgage broker partners to build our capability and product offerings, leading sales management and engaging across the other lines of business in REA.

In addition, the role will work with other parts of REA to ensure we make the most of the relationships we have with all lenders on the panel.

What the role is all about

  • Focus on driving sales growth and maximising the utilisation of Mortgage Choice's White Label product offerings, which are branded lending solutions provided by external partners.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with the broker network, state team, and white label partner BDMs and State management to boost product engagement and adoption.
  • Develop and implement sales plans, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and key growth objectives.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify high-potential broker opportunities and optimise sales efforts for maximum impact and returns.
  • Create and deliver engaging sales training materials, including decks and webinars, to educate brokers on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Provide actionable insights and feedback to management and partners to continuously improve product offerings, processes, and broker engagement strategies.
  • Maintain a strong orientation towards action and outcomes in all interactions, ensuring prompt and effective response to stakeholder requests.
  • Be a subject matter expert on White Label products and processes, becoming the "go-to" resource for brokers seeking guidance and support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the business to drive enterprise focus and visibility for White Label solutions within the broader lender panel.

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven Experience in Sales and Business Development: Demonstrated success in driving sales and business growth within the mortgage broking or financial services industry, preferably with experience in white label product offerings.
  • Relationship Building Skills: Ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with brokers, partners, and internal teams, fostering collaboration and product engagement.
  • Planning Abilities: Experience in creating and executing effective sales plans that align with business objectives, leveraging strategic thinking to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to evaluate market trends, broker performance, and sales opportunities, enabling informed decision-making and strategy optimisation.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Capability to articulate product features, benefits, and competitive differentiators clearly in both written and verbal formats, including training materials and presentations.
  • Insightful Feedback Provider: Skill in delivering constructive feedback to management and partners, contributing to continuous improvement in products and processes.
  • Action-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrable commitment to achieving outcomes with a proactive approach to meeting stakeholder needs and resolving challenges efficiently.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: In-depth understanding of mortgage products in general and our white label offerings, and the ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource for brokers and the wider team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience in working across various business units to enhance product focus and visibility, ensuring alignment and integrated efforts in sales strategies.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, quickly adapting to changes in product offerings, market conditions, and business priorities.
