Job Description
Embedded Insurance is responsible for coordinating and delivering new strategic alliance partnerships to achieve joint strategic and financial objectives for the Growth and Partnerships team and their key partners. Support the Head of Business Development & Growth by managing new opportunities, ensuring progress communication, developing operating models and products, and delivering necessary technology and processes. This role also implements effective operating rhythms and governance regimes for stakeholder clarity and visibility on customer and commercial outcomes. After launching new partnerships, the Business Development Manager oversees the program's success, monitoring each element and the performance of all parties to achieve long-term partnership goals.
In this role you will:
- Work with Senior Leaders & Insurance Partners to effectively manage a pipeline of new opportunities.
- Work with key internal stakeholders such as Commercial, Product, Pricing, Legal, Technology and Marketing teams to ensure the development of effective insurance distribution models.
- Perform discovery and opportunity assessment on prospective partnerships to a high standard.
- Develop a deep understanding of assigned portfolio of prospects and partners and their centres of influence/stakeholders.
- Drive clarity internally and within each partnership on the joint objectives of the partnership
- Ensure the distribution readiness of all partner channels.
- Design and implement any supporting campaign capability necessary to deliver the program, including an effective lead nurture and upgrade model.
- Constantly evaluate the effectiveness of the entire value chain of the partnership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in developing new life insurance partnerships.
- Proven stakeholder management, influencing and relationship development skills.
- Critical reasoning and analytical skills, commercial acumen.
- Proven project management and delivery skills. Proven experience delivering quality outcomes on multiple tasks and projects within budget and planned timeframes.
- Deep understanding of Australian insurance market and regulatory frameworks.
- Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in a finance or business-related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory and legislative provisions surrounding the distribution of retail financial services.
- Exposure to direct life insurance product development.
