The Role

We are seeking an accomplished BDM, Broker or Underwriter with superior relationship development skills to join the VIC/TAS team.  As the successful applicant, you will take responsibility for the identification and acquisition of new Broker relationships throughout VIC/TAS. To retain business, you will engage with internal stakeholders such as technical underwriters, and externally with brokers to provide understand portfolios and service requirements.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create, build and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed targets;
  • Work closely with our Strategic partner Broker
  • Develop new relationships to increase quote traffic, win new business and exceed service metrics
  • Co-ordinate internal sales activity and provide referrals to the team
  • Keep abreast, monitor and report on competitor activity
  • Build a strong individual and company profile
  • Travel interstate to represent the agency at conferences, at Broker events and attend company networking events.

 Your Details:

  • Prior successful employment in a relationship-based sales roles within the Insurance industry and thorough understanding of the General Insurance market
  • Previous experience in driving new business in an insurer or agency is essential
  • Possess sales leadership and mentoring capabilities desired but not essential
  • Possess a strong service ethic
