Job Description

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our high-growth lighting portfolio to expand our market offering in QLD. This is an exciting role due to the wide range of solution offering and 

If you're stuck in a role with limited growth, restricted territory, or repetitive product lines. This is your chance to move into a space where your projects are bigger, your influence is stronger, and your work becomes something you’ll actually see in the real world.

You’ll work closely with Engineers, Architects, Lighting Designers, Specifiers, Contractors, Developers and various End-users, supported by an in-house team of lighting designers, engineers, and technical experts who elevate your credibility and help you win.

This division already has a strong market presence which can be very lucrative for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of commercial, public, and infrastructure lighting projects across QLD

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and project handover.

  • Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality tailored solutions.

  • Strengthen relationships with architects, specifiers, engineers, contractors, and councils.

  • Represent the company at meetings, site visits, and industry events.

  • Maintain structured CRM records and provide insight into market trends and opportunities.​​​​

Qualifications

  • Currently working in the lighting or electrical industry (4+ years preferred).

  • Ready to step up into larger, more strategic project work.

  • Confident meeting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Able to understand drawings, technical specs, and project requirements (training provided).

  • Strong communicator, relationship builder, and natural presenter.

  • Driven, ambitious, and keen to grow into a senior role over time.

  • Full working rights in Australia.
