As a testament to our success, we're proud to stand as a financially stable and profitable company. Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

Our collective vision is a world where borderless connectivity fuels limitless innovation. By joining us, you can be part of laying the foundations for this interconnected future. We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The Role

We’re hiring a full-time office-based Business Development Representative/ ICT Sales Representative in Sydney and drive new business across Australia and the broader APAC region. This role is foundational to our regional growth strategy and offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact as one of the first sales hires on the ground.

This position goes beyond lead generation and pre-sales activity. You will own the full sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting through to deal closure, and act as a trusted ICT solutions advisor to customers using Telnyx’s voice, messaging, networking, wireless, and API-based connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle for ICT solutions, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, deal closure, and handover to delivery teams.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across Australia and APAC, across a wide range of industries.
  • Engage directly with customers to assess technical and commercial requirements and recommend appropriate Telnyx platforms, products, and services.
  • Position Telnyx as an ICT solutions partner, not just a product provider, by aligning solutions to customer business needs.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals and negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts for Telnyx’s API, voice, messaging, wireless, and connectivity solutions.
  • Take accountability for achieving agreed sales targets, revenue outcomes, and pipeline growth.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with customers post-sale, including follow-up during implementation, coordination with internal teams, and resolution of commercial or service-related issues.
  • Stay Organized and log activity and insights into our CRM (Salesforce) to maintain pipeline visibility and drive conversion.
  • Grow Your Knowledge and learn about our product suite and the competitive landscape so you can speak with confidence and authority.
  • Shape our Strategy and contribute to the refinement of messaging, outreach tactics, and market positioning as we grow in the APAC region.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (SaaS or telecom experience is a big plus).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and presence on the phone—you're persuasive, curious, and comfortable navigating conversations at all levels of seniority.
  • Startup mindset—you're resourceful, adaptable, and energized by change.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing a pipeline and working within a CRM like Salesforce.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn, especially when it comes to APIs, connectivity, and modern comms infrastructure.
  • Fluency in English required; other APAC languages are a plus.
Why You’ll Love Working at Telnyx
  • Be a Trailblazer: Help build Telnyx’s footprint in the APAC market and make your mark in our first Australian office.
  • Career Acceleration: Opportunity to grow into senior sales or leadership roles as our regional presence expands.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside passionate, global teammates who are serious about helping you succeed.
Competitive Compensation: Base salary + uncapped commission + equity opportunities.
  • Benefits Package: Comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, wellness programs, and more.
Remuneration & Benefits
  • Competitive remuneration package aligned with market benchmarks for skilled ICT sales roles in Australia.
  • Access to cutting-edge technology and a global, high-growth environment.
  • Base salary of AUD 85,000 - AUD 90,000 with performance-based commission and equity options.
