Team: Datasync Team

Reports to: Client Relationship & Growth Manager

Location: Hybrid - Sydney CBD (2 days on-site)

Hours: 32hrs across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Job snapshot:

Are you a driven, results-oriented individual with a passion for generating awareness, driving growth, and building meaningful relationships? We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive business development professional with up to 5 years experience to join our growing team.

The role of Business Development Representative at Wonde, will see you play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities across the edtech sector. Your adaptability, professionalism, and ability to connect with diverse prospects will be instrumental in achieving our exciting revenue and growth goals.

You will manage the sales cycle from prospecting and product demonstrations through to commercials and contracts. From there you will work with our Datasync Account Managers who will then further nurture and support the clients as they roll out their school connections via Wonde. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • You’ll take a hands-on approach to business development, actively reaching out to prospects (edtech Apps) through outbound calls, campaigns, and targeted outreach to drive new opportunities and grow the sales pipeline.
  • Develop comprehensive expertise in the Datasync product and the wider education landscape to effectively articulate value and drive app adoption
  • Research and network with key organisations and decision-makers to uncover and cultivate new leads.
  • Use a consultative approach, focused on the value proposition of our product, to highlight the strategic advantage of utilising our solutions, and how they contribute to the customers overall business goals.
  • Plan and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations, positioning Wonde’s solutions in a consultative and professional manner.
  • Attend industry trade-shows and conferences to further engage with new leads and continue to develop the awareness of the Wonde brand across the sector.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments within the edtech industry and leverage insights to identify opportunities.
  • Adapt and refine sales strategies to reflect market trends, ensuring a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Build, manage, and nurture a robust sales pipeline, maintaining consistent engagement with prospects.
  • Work closely with the Account Managers to ensure seamless onboarding and an excellent customer experience.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports on the progress and status of new business opportunities as you work towards exceeding your targets
Requirements
What you’ll need to be successful: 
  • A proven track record of up to 5 years in a business development-focused role. 
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with a strong ability to connect and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch in a consultative manner.
  • Analytical thinking and a strategic mindset to identify trends and adapt strategies effectively.
  • Ambition and initiative to drive change in a fast-moving sector. 
  • A collaborative spirit, working seamlessly with internal teams to achieve shared goals.
  • A passion for driving results, with a focus on building long-term relationships and achieving revenue growth.
  • A balanced attitude towards individual and team success to ensure we are all driving towards the common goal.
  • An enthusiastic and dynamic flair to your work, with a desire to continually achieve and motivate others through their own behaviour.
  • A self-starter mindset who demonstrates a proactive approach to their work, yet isn’t afraid to ask questions.
  • A real drive to want to be at the forefront of Wonde’s continuing, rapid expansion across the APAC region.
  • Experience in SaaS sales and/or within the edtech sector is highly desirable.
