Sumo Logic is seeking a new Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) sales team.  This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in sales.

Role Overview:  As an SDR, you will play a critical role in our sales process and in the success of our ANZ sales team by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and prospect new customers
  • Book outbound meetings through cold calls, emails, social outreach, and networking
  • Engage with prospects, including C-suite and directors, to drive interest
  • Deliver targeted marketing content to prospects
  • Utilize a modern tech stack, including 6Sense, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Outreach, etc.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute a joint territory "plan-of-attack," identifying and targeting prospects with the right messaging at the right time

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as an SDR, preferably in a SaaS sales environment or similar sales roles (Sales, BDR, etc.)

  • Proven track record in outbound lead generation and consistently over-achieving quotas
  • Strong hunter mentality: self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized with strong follow-through and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and be coached
  • Genuine passion for technology and sales
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
