Job Description

As the Business Finance FP&A Lead at NCS Australia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organisation. Acting as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, you’ll collaborate closely with department heads to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Analysing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making at the highest level.
  • Driving continuous improvement and automation in financial processes, including the use of AI for forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and implementing robust risk management strategies.
  • Coaching and mentoring operational and sales teams in financial best practices.

You’ll be instrumental in integrating business processes, systems, and structures to support our ambitious growth targets. With oversight of a team of FP&A professionals, you’ll help shape a high-performing, collaborative finance function that supports both commercial and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Apigee API Management Platform and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
  • Strong understanding of API design, development, and management principles
  • Proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or similar
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment models
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) is preferred
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) is a plus
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible is desirable
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards is advantageous
  • Extensive experience in API management and cloud platform engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Apigee Certified API Engineer) are preferred
  • Experience in the financial services, healthcare, or e-commerce industries would be beneficial

  • Significant experience as a Business Finance Partner or Senior FP&A Leader within a professional services firm or similar 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modelling and deal shaping.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation tools; experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Certinia, SAP, or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • A strategic mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and the resilience to thrive under pressure.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business (CPA/CA highly regarded).

Experience in M&A, post-acquisition integration, and working in multinational environment (especially across Australia and Singapore) will be highly regarded.
