The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business intelligence team based in Sydney.  This is a full-time 12 month parental cover contract.

As part of our broader Business Finance function, the Business Intelligence team is responsible for designing and implementing technical financial solutions to support and enhance the firm's FP&A capabilities.

Using your IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 and financial modelling expertise, as a Business Intelligence Developer you will develop reporting, planning, forecasting, and allocation models. Collaborating with Finance teams, you will create customized TM1 models, UIs, and create dashboards using application such as Cognos Analytics and Power BI for firm-wide use.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in TM1/Planning Analytics: solution architecting, model building, UI development, and system configuration;

  • Expertise in TM1 skills: TI processes, Rules, MDX, and UI/UX design with PAW and PAfE;

  • Advanced MS Excel skills;

  • Strong background in data modelling, data transformation, SQL and data warehousing;

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, etc);

  • Developed reports using either or similar reporting platforms such as: IBM Cognos Analytics, Power BI, Tableau (2-3 years);

  • CA / CPA qualification.

Desirable Skills

  • Consulting experience;

  • Developed Reports in IBM Cognos Analytics or Power BI;

  • Has worked in the Legal or Accounting professional services organisations.
