Job Description

The Position

The BM is responsible for supporting the short- and long-term planning and forecasting of the ANZ fertility business. The BM is also responsible for the AU Fertility sales team.

Fertility is a key priority for Organon globally, and the ANZ business is a significant contributor. The BM will assess the opportunity spaces for Fertility across the next 3-5 years.

Organon has a small business in New Zealand, and the BM will lead the financial forecasting & management for Fertility NZ. In addition, they will work closely with the commercial teams to unlock commercial opportunities and build marketing strategies for key brands.

Responsibilities:

  • The primary requirement of the Business Manager is to lead and manage the Fertility sales team, and to develop and execute marketing strategies for the franchise to achieve sales, expense and profit targets. 

  • The role is responsible for developing, implementing and contributing to both the 5-year long term (LROP) and the annual Profit/Brand plan and strategies & forecasts.  This is achieved from an understanding of the needs and expectations of customers.  These plans and strategies will build customer loyalty, optimise brand performance and deliver appropriate return on customers in line with agreed sales targets.

  • Lead sales activities by setting product mix & geographical sales areas through sales territory business plans. Additionally set and manage the incentive plan (SIP) & sales targets.

  • Manage and monitor supply chain for all brands

  • The above will be carried out consistent with Organon’s leadership, coaching and performance management principles.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Degree qualified Bachelor of Business/Marketing Management or related/other disciplines.

  • Demonstrated commercial leadership and management knowledge and skills. This will preferably include at least 2 years' previous team management experience.

  • Several years previous marketing and / or sales experience in specialist pharmaceutical industry. 

  • Strong marketing experience across multiple channels, including digital.

  • High level business acumen

  • Strong people leadership skills

  • Strong customer focus

  • Strong teamwork orientation.

  • Innovative approach to the role.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills across varying levels of the organization and cross functionally.

  • Ensure all the activities of the team comply with relevant codes, acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
