About the Opportunity
The Business Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of Griffith Accommodation, providing high‑level administrative and operational support to the Accommodation Manager. As a member of the Griffith Accommodation team, the role supports services for current and prospective residential students. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including occasional work outside standard office hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑level administrative support to the Accommodation Manager, including project assistance, research and reporting.
  • Manage key administrative functions such as incident reporting, statistics, procedures, business documentation, marketing materials, website content and meeting coordination.
  • Support WHS, compliance and legislative requirements, including inspections, record‑keeping, reporting, process improvements and training activities.
  • Deliver operational support to the Residential Life and Operations Coordinators as required.
  • Maintain day‑to‑day functionality of StarRez and SharePoint systems and assist with system updates and IT‑related projects.

About you

  • The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Be eligible for or hold a blue card.

What we can offer
This is full time, fixed term opportunity until January 2027 based at Brisbane South (Nathan) . As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

This position requires flexibility in working hours, including work outside standard office hours for operational requirements, and participation in an on‑call arrangement.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples

Salary Range
HEW 5 salary range - $82,415 - $92,456 per annum + 17% superannuation. Total remuneration range $96,426 - $108,174 per annum.
