The purpose of this role is to conduct thorough investigations with a strong focus on empathetic communication, ensuring customers feel heard and supported throughout the process. The role supports the accurate assessment of liability while maintaining a high standard of customer care.

These claims may include complex psychological trauma, cancer diagnoses, chronic pain, and other serious medical presentations. The role requires a high level of empathy, resilience, and clinical understanding, as you will be guiding individuals through intensive treatment pathways, liaising with treating specialists, and coordinating tailored rehabilitation plans to support their safe return to work and life. This is a deeply impactful role where your support can make a meaningful difference in someone’s recovery journey. 

This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and implement strategies regularly within timeframes to achieve the optimum outcome and minimisation of claims costs
  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions
  • Engage in policy holder claims review and maintain regular contact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work efficiently as part of a team and actively demonstrate the EML values and culture
  • Proactively manage rehabilitation provider and approval of rehabilitation plans/wellness plans in accordance with guidelines

ABOUT YOU

  • Great attention to detail and time management skills
  • Previous Workers Compensation Case Management experience or tertiary studies in a medical-related field
  • Proficient computer literacy, adept at navigating software and databases effectively
  • Demonstrated resilience and capability to engage in complex conversations with empathy and professionalism
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem-solving, fostering a supportive and constructive work environment
