Job Description
The CASS Governance & Oversight team are responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the governance framework that ensures the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) is able to comply with UK client asset rules set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The team work closely with Operations, Business and Product Management spanning all lines of business across the In-Scope Legal Entities. In addition, the team partner with Compliance, Audit and Risk.
As a Client Money and Regulatory Reporting Associate in the CASS Governance & Oversight team, you will be responsible for producing CASS-related regulatory reporting submissions and performing client money reconciliations. You will be part of the team that focuses on designing and implementing the oversight framework for CASS rules requirements within the CIB, ensuring that the CIB's Client Asset Oversight Officer (CAOO) and relevant Senior Management Functions (SMFs) can fulfill their regulatory responsibilities.
Job responsibilities
- Produce the Client Money and Asset Return (CMAR) on a monthly basis, ensuring the information included is complete and accurate.
- Oversee the client money reconciliation on a daily basis, working with business lines to understand and resolve any discrepancies that are identified.
- Create daily and monthly MI for the CAOO and relevant SMFs.
- Ensure CASS procedures are clear and kept up to date.
- Assist with any ad hoc CASS tasks or projects when required.
- Support annual audit requirements, including presenting to external auditors and resolving any identified issues.

- Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of the various components of the CIB (e.g. how its various functions and businesses are organized) and the CASS rules
