We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia to make a difference as our Category Assistant / Analyst in the Consumer Electronics - Home Appliances team. In this role, you will support the team with thorough market analysis, sales reporting and operations (ensuring the team is compliant and has all necessary approvals in place). You will have exposure across the full range of home appliances which includes refrigerators, laundry, kitchen appliances and vacuums.

Role and Responsibilities

Market Data Analysis

  • Market channel data analysis which includes sell-in, sell-out, market share and market trend

  • Pricing & promotion analysis which includes weekly pricing analysis to compare competitiveness of our brand among competition, catalogue & share of voice analysis, promotion’s impact analysis

  • Reporting key accounts’ inventory versus sell-out analysis to each product category

  • Conduct channel management analysis specifically to run-rate, promotional rate and slow moving inventory

  • Provide weekly business channel reports to understand partner performance against target and rebate achievement

Master Data Management

  • Maintain and monitor data accuracy

  • Update store master data and product master data

  • Manage channel data structure

  • Identify process improvements to achieve business efficiencies and execute/implement

Operational Support & Channel Coordination

  • Support the team with approvals and admin/operational processes

  • Gather channel data and information for business coordination purposes i.e. catalogue and SKU mix

  • Look for continuous improvement opportunities to identify operational savings for the Home Appliances team

  • Gather competitor and market intelligence

  • Provide channel performance insights to sales and product teams

In addition to the duties associated with business analysis there may be opportunities to lead projects. In this situation the role will be responsible for ensuring the project is consistent with the controls and reporting standards for the team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience  in  delivering  business  requirements  and managing stakeholder expectations

  • Experience in market data analysis, data models and reporting packages

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and write comprehensive reports

  • Advanced Microsoft  Excel / Access (VBA macros, lookups, power pivots, SQL)

  • Proficient MS Word and PowerPoint skills
