Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is looking for a highly motivated and experienced category or sales professional to join our team to drive the next wave of growth with some of our market leading brands like GLAD, CHUX and BURT'S BEES.
The Category Development Executive is a pivotal role within the Category & Shopper Marketing team, responsible for driving greater understanding of the categories dynamics and shaping data / insights into category strategies to both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will deliver customer reviews & deep dives for assigned categories, champion the voice of category within the business, and support the acceleration of Clorox portfolio across the emerging channels. This role reports to the Category Development Manager.

In this role, you will:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead category insights, strategies & growth drivers, new product development, reviews, and execution in assigned categories along with the Category Development Manager
  • Present (internally and externally) range reviews and category engagements with Customers: including Category Strategies, Range Recommendations, and Planograms implementation.
  • Lead/drive internal commercial forums and support business planning process / projects
  • Accelerate the growth vectors across Emerging Channel (Costco, Aldi, Amazon, etc)
  • Manage category reporting and administration

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 3+ years of FMCG industry experience in sales, trade marketing or category, preferably Category or Insights roles
  • Previous experience using scan and shopper data including IRI, Nielsen & Quantium data
  • Proven experience interpreting and analysing multiple data sources to provide actionable insights and communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and change
  • Self-motivated, well organised, and able to prioritise and manage multiple projects

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working on consumer brands & understand of category in the Australia grocery environment
  • Strong analytical ability – the ability to derive actionable insights from data. 
  • Experience in using syndicated data (both scan and shopper)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to partner effectively and work cross functionally
  • Influencing skills and the ability to take others on the journey
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective planning and prioritization.
  • High attention to detail in a complex and changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms

Hybrid - 3 Days On-site, 2 Days WFH
