About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager to drive eBay Australia's Collectables Category Strategy and Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the planning, testing and execution of focus categories within eBay, laying foundations for future growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Collectables Category Senior Manager, you will develop and implement the Trading Card category strategy to align with the overall business objectives. 

  • Analyse sales data and track key performance metrics, monitor category and product trends and provide recommendations for inventory gap closure, pricing competitiveness and business plans based on data insights.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiate terms and plan and execute product launches and promotions.

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by monitoring and managing category performance metrics, identifying areas of improvement, and optimizing pricing and promotion strategies.

  • Work in close collaboration with the cross-functional teams, including marketing, seller teams, trust, shipping and finance to ensure that major initiatives, campaigns, and launches meet business objectives and deadlines.

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and collect market intelligence to identify new opportunities and to keep up with changing market trends and demands.

  • Ensure appropriate product content, attributes and images are factual, presented in a compelling manner and comply with eBay policy.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial or category management role.

  • Solid analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

  • Clear and concise communication skills.

  • Strong ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams.

  • Strong ability to gather and analyse data to form insights and recommendations.
