The Role
As a Category Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting the Revenue Management Manager in developing and implementing pricing, promotion, and mix strategies that drive business growth and profitability. Your primary focus will be on analysing market data, identifying opportunities, and recommending pricing and promotional plan updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating price and promotional processes, tracking and reporting initiatives, and building out tools, processes, and systems capabilities associated with pricing, promotion, and mix.

The Role
As a Category Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting the Revenue Management Manager in developing and implementing pricing, promotion, and mix strategies that drive business growth and profitability. Your primary focus will be on analysing market data, identifying opportunities, and recommending pricing and promotional plan updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating price and promotional processes, tracking and reporting initiatives, and building out tools, processes, and systems capabilities associated with pricing, promotion, and mix.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate price and promotional processes and collaborate with stakeholders to update internal and external systems
- Track and report price, promo, and mix initiatives within the business unit and present results to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities through market data analysis and recommend pricing and promotional plan updates to drive profitable business growth
- Assist in delivering the annual pricing and trade optimization plans to sales and track implementation
- Participate in monthly cadence routines with Revenue Management and cross-functional teams (Commercial Finance, Procurement, Category Development, Brand, and Sales teams)
- Build out tools, processes, insights, and systems capabilities associated with pricing, promotion, and mix
Pricing:
- Base prices/EDV optimisation
- Gap optimisation
Promo:
- Trade investment review and guidance
- Assessment and improvement of return on trade investment via frequency/depth optimisation recommendations
Mix:
- Participate in building the annual pricing and trade optimisation plans to management and sales
We're looking for someone with:
- 1+ years of working experience in FMCG, retail, consulting firm, financial institution, or company, or role performing data analytics (ideal but not required)
- Finance and business-related background preferred
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen that enable decision-making
- Stakeholder management and strong communication skills
- Systems knowledge is a plus: Circana, Quantium, promotion evaluation tool, Tableau/PowerBI, etc.
