Job Description

  • Play a key role in a major payroll transformation change program in a complex, iconic organisation with global brand recognition
  • Work directly with the Change Lead, Program Managers, senior leaders, business stakeholders and People team.
  • 18-month fixed term contract located at our Mascot head office

Are you an experienced Change Manager ready to make a real impact on a high-profile transformation? Join Qantas Airways as a Change Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering one of Australia’s largest payroll transformation programs, supporting over 19,000 employees.

As Change Manager, you’ll provide end-to-end change management support for the Payroll Transformation Program. You’ll oversee the impact of organisational changes, ensuring our people are prepared, engaged, and equipped to integrate new systems, processes, and ways of working. Working closely with the Payroll Project team and business areas, you’ll drive leadership alignment, stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, strategy and planning, readiness, and delivery.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 6+ years’ experience in change management roles, with a proven track record delivering complex transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders and frontline staff.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and engagement capability.
  • Experience in risk and issue management, and project management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Change Management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Change management certification (Prosci, APMG, or similar) highly regarded.
  • Experience in aviation or other highly regulated, complex environments is advantageous.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
