We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia to make a difference as our Channel Development Manager (E-commerce) in the Direct To Consumer E-commerce team.
In this role, the e-Commerce Channel Development Manager will have the opportunity to lead and grow potential partnerships with online marketplaces to expand our customer base and increase revenue pipeline.
As the key member of the team, you will also be actively involved in negotiating partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships with online marketplace platforms & coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and execution of online marketplace initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and own strategic direction for securing new business with a focus on connected solutions
  • Engage and lead internal resources and external partners to develop suitable go-to-market plans and execute them
  • Engage and lead internal resources and external partners to develop and new solutions
  • Identify key challenges for new business growth, build achievable plans to overcome and execute such plans
     

Industry Expertise

  • Understand the industry trends, challenges, opportunities and competition for Samsung Australia
  • Ability to quickly become a subject matter expert for the relevant new business/sector to ensure the customers’ needs are accurately met and issues are proactively planned for

Financials and Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities to achieve management plan
  • Accurately model & forecast new business opportunities
  • Implement a sound forecasting method to provide Samsung Australia visibility of future sales (weekly, monthly and quarterly) revenues

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, digital business development is required

  • Prior experience as a Key Account Manager, Marketplace Manager, Channel Development Manager or Partnerships Manager with a deep understanding of the digital marketplace landscape is preferred

  • Proven track record of establishing and managing successful online marketplace partnerships

  • Able to work with pre-sales and marketing team to align on the strategy while contributing on the best practice

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
