- U.S., foreign government & commercial contracts law & associated proposal and capture functions
Anduril’s Legal, Compliance & Business Affairs (LCBA) organization is seeking an experienced operations professional to join our team. This role reports directly to Anduril’s General Counsel. In this role you will be responsible for providing organizational and operational leadership in support of the General Counsel and their leadership team. You will partner closely with our world-class teams to enable them to operate in an organized and efficient manner. Anduril is a fast-growing company. Consistent with this fast growth, members of Anduril’s Legal, Compliance & Business Affairs (LCBA) organization must be resourceful, creative, and eager to take ownership of complex matters. You will require excellent communication and project management skills to coordinate and efficiently close complex projects on tight timelines, with a singular focus on helping the organization accomplish its quarterly and annual goals.
- Be a key leader within Anduril’s dynamic LCBA organization.
- Leadership partnership. Partner with the General Counsel and their leadership team to drive and execute strategy for organizational development that will scale and meet LCBA and their respective functions’ operational needs across Anduril.
- Shape the org vision, org operating model, and annual goals.
- Set and track metrics for organizational efficiency and operational performance across diverse functions.
- Engage with Anduril executive leadership as a representative for the LCBA organization by preparing content and presenting at regular business reviews.
- Run the oversight function of the organization - manage our business reviews, performance standards, project toolkit, among others.
- Serve as the core getting-things-done partner for the organization’s functional leads team, helping the group stay prioritized effectively.
- Execution and cross-functional collaboration. Drive day-to-day operations and develop internal processes/frameworks for efficient operations across the organization. This includes staffing and hiring, org communications, performance management and compensation, financial planning and tracking, facilities management, and working with cross functional partners across these domains. Specific examples include:
- Drive quarterly and annual planning for the LCBA organization as part of internal and company-wide planning cycles.
- Manage the organization’s budget in partnership with FP&A to track the financial health of the org against goals and deliverables.
- Monitor the health of the org's hiring, onboarding, & staffing infrastructure and processes.
- Manage organizational communications internal to the team and external across the company, such as sending weekly announcements and monthly updates across the company and preparing team wide All Hands.
- Assess and implement new technology tools in collaboration with IT to drive operational efficiencies.
- Execute on strategic initiatives and take on special projects for the organization.
- Dive into multiple simultaneous ambiguous projects across the org and own their end-to-end execution, from initial discovery to successful result being met.
- Build your own independent portfolio as one of the organization’s leads, deeply diving into a set of organizational priorities that you drive as your own.
- Bootstrap new capabilities and lead cross-functional projects - you’re not just project managing, you’re driving toward the outcome.
- Keep abreast of operational changes that may affect the organization and the broader business.
- 5+ years of working experience in a legal, compliance, consulting, program management, or business operations role.
- Strong communication skills across a wide dynamic range, both written and verbal. Experience interfacing with company leadership and executives is a must, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate trust and facilitate meetings for and engage with executives. Demonstrated ability to translate and articulate thoughts clearly and simply across a wide range of roles (software engineers, finance partners, recruiters, cross functional leadership, and executives).
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems not only from a data driven lens, but also in a people-centric way by building strong cross functional relationships across the company and within the Legal, Compliance & Business Affairs organization.
- High ownership with the horsepower to effectively manage multiple (3-5+) large projects and priorities in parallel, at a rapid pace, and report out on progress regularly.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
- Willing and able to work in Anduril’s Washington, DC office
- Willing to travel for up to 25% of time
- J.D., MBA, or advanced degree
- Experience working at or with Aerospace & Defense companies, Robotics, Technology or other manufacturing heavy companies directly or in an advisory capacity
- Experience working at a start up or ability to establish processes and SOPs from scratch
- 7-10 years experience partnering with cross-functional teams that include Legal, Compliance, Finance, or Operations professionals
- Active Top Secret security clearance
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
